Howell signs with 麻豆视频 cross country

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/8/2009 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldog cross country program has added their first signee for the class of 2009. Cally Howell of Greer, South Carolina will be joining the Lady Bulldogs after a successful high school cross country career. She will enter 麻豆视频 this coming fall as a freshman.

Howell is a four year member of the Riverside (S.C.) High School cross country program, which qualified for the state meet three times. She was captain of her region championship team in 2008. Howell has also competed in road races up to the half marathon distance, placing first in her age group in the half marathon.

In addition to cross country, Howell also played on her high school basketball team.

Howell is also a great student, a Beta Club member, and is very involved in church activities.

Coach Gary Johnson states, "Cally is an outstanding addition to our team. We are looking forward to seeing how she adds to our team in terms or personality, spirit, academic achievement, and her running experience.鈥�
