Seven Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer players named NAIA scholar athletes

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - 12/8/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women’s soccer team boasted seven players on the 2008 NAIA Scholar Athlete list. The NAIA awards the scholar athlete honor to juniors and seniors with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Members of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ team that were named scholar athletes include; Kimberlee Hauss (Memphis, Tenn.), Emily Rawls (Cordova, Tenn.), Caitlin Zimmerman (Lebanon, Tenn.), Abigail Williams (Crossville, Tenn.), Katelin Dirksen (Abbotsford, British Columbia), Candice Blackard (Collierville, Tenn.), and Brooke Walker (Niceville, Fla.)

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldogs posted a 13-6 record this season with a 3-3 mark in the TranSouth. The 13 wins tied the most in a season for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in just their fourth season of varsity competition. The Lady Bulldogs finished fourth in the TranSouth regular season standings and third place in the conference tournament.
