NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 11/8/2008 - The 麻豆视频 University cross country teams earned wins in their respective TranSouth Conference Meets. The women posted a first place finish out of five teams in the race, while the men won first in a seven-team field. Both 麻豆视频 teams earned bids to the NAIA National Cross Country Meet in Wisconsin on November 22.
In the women's race, 麻豆视频's Lydia Bond took first place, earning her TranSouth Runner of the Year honors. Teammate Hanna Clardy took second place and was the highest finishing freshman, which earned her TranSouth Freshman of the Year honors.
The top seven runners in the race earn TranSouth All-Conference honors. This year's list included six 麻豆视频 runners. Joining Bond and Clardy as All-Conference performers were Kayla Hauss, Danielle Partain, Clarley Moss, and Erika Schnatterly.
In the men's race, 麻豆视频 boasted the the second, third and fourth runners. Alex Bett placed second, Zach Covington was third, and Seth Covington was fourth. 麻豆视频 placed four runners on the All-Conference list, including Bett, Z. Covington, S. Covington, and Joel Wellum.
麻豆视频's Gary Johnson was named the men's and women's TranSouth Conference Coach of the Year. This is the eight conference women's coach of the year, and seventh men's conference coach of the year.
