No.12 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men roll over Williams Baptist 120-70

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/4/2008 - The No.12 ranked Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University Bulldogs knocked off Williams Baptist (Ark.) College 120-70 in their first game of the season. The Bulldogs are now 1-0 on the season. With the loss, Williams Baptist falls to 0-3 on the year.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-0 lead to start the game and never looked back. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ took their lead up to 28 points two times in the first half, taking a 28-point lead into the half.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ picked up right where they left off to start the second half, driving their lead up to 35 points, just over two minutes into the second half. The Bulldogs continued to carry the momentum through the end of the game, winning by a final score of 120-70.

In a game that saw 11 of the 12 Bulldogs score, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led on a perfect shooting night by senior All-American Matt Neaville (below), who posted 23 points in the game. Neaville went seven-for-seven from the floor, including four-for-four from three-point range and five-for-five from the free throw line. Junior guard Tacuma Alexander added 16 points. Junior transfer Greg Truvillion recorded 15 points and Roland Banhoro posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Brian Lake also added 12 points for the Bulldogs.

Williams Baptist was led by Charles Wilson who recorded 17 points. Jon Hodges and De'Varrio Watson added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Up next for the No.12 Bulldogs is a Homecoming match up against No.2 Robert Morris (Ill.) College on November 8. The Bulldogs game will begin at 4 pm.
