No. 1 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women knock off Campbellsville on the road 79-52

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/4/2008 - The No.1 Lady Bulldogs of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ (Tenn.) University defeated Campbellsville (Ky.) University in their first road game of the season by a score of 79-52. The win brings the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-0 record on the season. Campbellsville falls to 0-1 this year.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ jumped out to a 5-0 lead to start the game, then Campbellsville quickly took a 6-5 lead, but the Lady Tigers only held it for a single possession. Once the Lady Bulldogs regained the lead, they never looked back. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ took a 10-point lead into halftime, 41-31.

In the second half, the Lady Bulldogs drove their lead up to 26 points. The Lady Tigers then went on a 10-0 run to pull within 16 points with just under three minutes left in the game. However, the Bulldogs quickly turned things around to finish the game with a 27-point victory, 79-52.

Kaitlin Dudley led the Lady Bulldogs scoring 27 points on five threes in the game. Zeinab Chan added 15 points and Josephine Owino posted 10 points for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.

Campbellsville was led on the night by Whitney Ballinger with 11 points.

The Lady Bulldogs next game will be Homecoming versus St. Catharine (Ky.) College on November 8. The Lady Bulldogs will tip-off at 2 pm with the men's game to follow at 4 pm.
