NASHVILLE, Tenn. - 10/27/2008 - The TranSouth Athletic Conference men's basketball coaches have tipped Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University as the preseason favorite to capture the 2008-2009 championship.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, who finished 18-13 (12-8 TSAC) last season have advanced to the NAIA Tournament nine times under head coach Ralph Turner. Under Turner the Bulldogs have won the TranSouth regular season title five times and have been crowned tournament champions on five occasions. In the 12-year history of the TranSouth, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s men have played in the tournament championship game seven times (5-2).
The Bulldogs received 77 points and seven of the nine first place votes.
