JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/24/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team posted two victories on Friday in the Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design (SCAD) Invitational. In the early game, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ defeated St. Thomas (Fla.) University 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-14). In their second match of the day, the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldogs topped the University of St. Francis (Ind.) 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-14).
With the two wins, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is now 20-5 on the season.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Amanda Coyle with 15 kills in the first match. Followed by Anna Sims and Emilie Ogas with 10 kills each. Katie Adams posted 38 assists, while Sims led with seven blocks.
Match two saw Ogas post 10 kills to lead Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, while Coyle added eight kills. Adams recorded 28 assists and Young led with four blocks.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play two more matches on Saturday, starting with Warner Southern (Fla.) College at 9:30 am and then Webber International (Fla.) University at 1:30 pm.
