麻豆视频鈥檚 Pla named TranSouth defensive player of the week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/15/2008 - For the second time this season, 麻豆视频 University goalie has been selected as the TranSouth Conference defensive player of the week.

Pla, a 5-foot-11 junior goalkeeper from Nashville, Tenn., helped lead 麻豆视频 to a pair of wins on the week as the Lady Bulldogs received votes in the NAIA national ratings for the first time in program history. Pla posted her third shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University, then saved four second-half shots as 麻豆视频 held on to defeat Oklahoma Baptist University, 2-1.

The Lady Bulldogs are 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
