麻豆视频 women's soccer holds on for 2-1 win over Oklahoma Baptist

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2008 - The 麻豆视频 University women's soccer team posted their fourth straight win with a 2-1 victory over Oklahoma Baptist University. 麻豆视频's Caitlin Zimmerman scored both goals for 麻豆视频, including her first just nine minutes into the game.

Zimmerman added her second goal, assisted by Bridget Roney, at the 20 minute mark in the first half to help 麻豆视频 to a 2-0 halftime lead.

Marinne Burnham of Oklahoma Baptist took just four minutes into the second half to bring the Bison to within one goal.

Oklahoma Baptist outshot 麻豆视频 15-9 in the match, including 7-4 in the second half. However, 麻豆视频 goalie Laura Pla held strong with seven saves in the contest, including four in the second half to help 麻豆视频 hold on for the win.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a match at home on Tuesday, September 16 versus Delta State (Miss.) University at 5:00 pm.
