麻豆视频 volleyball wins fourth straight with win over Bethel

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/13/2008 - The 麻豆视频 University Lady Bulldogs continued their winning ways with a 3-1 (25-13, 25-16, 23-25, 25-16) win over Bethel (Tenn.) College. 麻豆视频 improved to 7-2 on the season and 3-0 in league play. Bethel dropped their first match of the season, moving to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the TranSouth.

"We showed up ready to play today", states Coach Steven Gream about his team's effort. The Lady Bulldogs opened the first game with a 10-0 run. 麻豆视频 took the first two games and seemed to be coasting with the 2-0 lead. However, Bethel rallied for a two-point win in game three. But 麻豆视频 quickly regained control of the match by taking a 17-7 lead in the fourth game, before winning 25-16.

麻豆视频 was led by Heather Lieberman with 12 kills and Anna Sims with 10 kills. Emilie Ogas and Amanda Coyle each added nine kills. Katie Adams tallied 40 assists for 麻豆视频, while CJ Neathamer led with three aces.

Bethel was led by Jessica Vieira with nine kills and Deseray Washington with seven kills. Abby Masters tallied 24 assists in the match.

Up next for 麻豆视频 will be a rescheduled match from earlier in the season when Brescia (Ky.) University comes to 麻豆视频 on Monday, September 15 at 2:00 pm.
