Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women's soccer wins third straight, Zimmerman records hat trick

JACKSON, Tenn. - 9/9/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Lady Bulldogs posted their third straight win of the season with a 4-0 win at Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University. With the win, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in the TranSouth.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's junior forward Caitlin Zimmerman posted her first hat trick of the season with three goals in the match. Zimmerman, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's first and only NAIA All-American women's soccer player, recorded three hat tricks last season.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ scored first with a goal from Zimmerman, assisted by Jill Landers, in the fifth minute of play. That started an explosive first half in which Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ scored all four of their goals. In addition to the three goals from Zimmerman, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also recorded a team goal when a Trojan player scored an own goal. Christina Reardon also recorded an assist for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the contest.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be a home match on Saturday, September 13 versus Oklahoma Baptist University. The match will begin at 2:00 pm.
