麻豆视频 men鈥檚 basketball signs Mississippi junior college standout

JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/28/2008 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 basketball team has signed to the 2008-09 roster. Truvillion is a transfer from Copiah-Lincoln (Miss.) Community College and will enter 麻豆视频 this fall as a junior.

鈥淚 am very excited to be at 麻豆视频 and cannot wait to start the season,鈥� stated Truvillion.

Truvillion, a 6-foot-8 210 lb guard/forward, averaged 19 points, nine rebounds, and four assists last season as a sophomore at Copiah-Lincoln. He was named Region Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and preseason NJCAA All-American as a sophomore. Truvillion was also named All-Conference, All-State, and All-Region in both seasons.

麻豆视频 head coach Ralph Turner says the coaching staff is very happy to have Truvillion coming to 麻豆视频. 鈥淕reg will be one of the most versatile players in our conference. He can play just about any position on the floor.鈥� Turner adds, 鈥淎lthough he knows how to score a lot of points, he is one of the most unselfish players I鈥檝e seen.鈥�

Truvillion is a native of Lansing, Michigan and is a graduate of Lansing's Everett High School.

The 麻豆视频 Bulldogs are set to open their 2008-09 season during 麻豆视频鈥檚 Homecoming week with home games on November 4 and November 8 (homecoming).
