麻豆视频 softball adds Martin Westview standout to roster

JACKSON, Tenn. - 7/8/2008 - The 麻豆视频 University softball has signed of Martin, Tennessee to play softball. Owens will enter 麻豆视频 this fall as a freshman and will major in Business Marketing.

Owens, a 5-foot-6 catcher/third baseman, played four seasons of softball at Westview High School. She helped lead her team to the District 13A titles in 2007 and 2008, while claiming the Region title in 2008. As a senior, Owens was named All-Academic and first team All-District. She added West Tennessee honorable mentioned and All-District Tournament honors as a junior.

Off the field, Owens was the senior class treasurer and student council secretary.

Owens is the daughter of Sterling and Vivian Owens of Martin.
