Houston standout signs with Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ men’s soccer

JACKSON, Tenn. - 6/17/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University men’s soccer team has signed Houston High School graduate, , to Bulldog roster. Thomas will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman and will major in Sports Medicine.

Thomas, a 6-foot 150 lb. midfielder, prepped at Houston High School where he played four seasons of soccer. In 2008, he helped lead his high school team to the district title, region title, and state finals. Following the season, he was named the Midfielder of the Year. Thomas recorded nine goals and nine assists in 22 games. Thomas also played two year for the Memphis Futbol Club. In 2007, Thomas posted 27 goals and 20 assists in 45 games while leading his team to a second place finish in the Gothia Cup.

Off the field, Thomas is a member of the National Honor Society, Quill and Scroll, and was the school’s newspaper editor.

Thomas is the son of Chris and Angela Thomas.
