Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ cross country signs Arkansas high school state champion

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/16/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University cross country team has signed for the 2008 season. Clardy is from Maumelle, Arkansas and will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ this fall as a freshman, majoring in Pre-Medicine.

Clardy is coming off a season in which she captured her first state championship after two straight runner-up finishes. Clardy prepped at Arkansas Baptist High School where she will also graduate as valedictorian of her class. She joins a Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ program that has qualified for the past two NAIA National Championship Meets as a team and has produces numerous academic and athlete honors over the years.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ head coach Gary Johnson believes Clardy will contribute to both the athletic and academic success of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Lady Bulldogs. “Hannah is a special young lady who is the top runner in her division in Arkansas. She comes from a wonderful Christian family and will add personality and spirit to our team along with her academic and athletic talents." Coach Johnson adds, "We have tried to purposely develop a reputation in the cross country programs of attracting outstanding Christian student-athletes capable of equal success in the classroom and on the athletic field."
