Madison Academic soccer star signs with 麻豆视频 men鈥檚 program

JACKSON, Tenn. - 5/7/2008 - of Madison Academic Magnet School has signed to play his college soccer with the Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 University. Desio will enter 麻豆视频 this fall as a freshman and will major in Business.

Desio played four years of high school soccer at Madison Academic Magnet School. As a junior, he was named All-Region, Region MVP, and Best of the West All-Tournament team. In his sophomore season, Desio earned Best of the West All-Tournament, All-Region and District MVP. As a freshman, he was named the varsity's Outstanding Offensive Player. Desio played club soccer for the Memphis Futbol Club. In 2006, he helped lead his team to a state semifinal and US Club Region Semifinal. In 2007, Desio's team was a state runner-up and Gothia Cup runner-up. Desio has 30 goals in his career, including 11 this season in just 10 games.

Off the field, Desio is a part of the Honors Program, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Excel Club.

Desio is the son of Marcus and Cindy Desio.
