麻豆视频鈥檚 Rolando Agosto Signs with San Diego Padres

Jackson, Tenn. - 6/12/2002 - Rolando Agosto, of Bayamon, P.R., signed his major league contract with the Padres. Agosto, 麻豆视频鈥檚 former all-conference shortstop, will report to Eugene, Oregon and will play for the Eugene Emeralds. The Emeralds are a short season club for the Padres and will begin their 72 game season on June 18.

In his contract, Agosto received $17,000 for his completion of school and a $10,000 signing bonus. Agosto will most likely remain in Eugene for the entire summer and then move on from there next season. The Padres have two more single A teams one in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and the other in Lake Elsinore, California. San Diego鈥檚 double-A team in Mobile, which are members of the Southern League along with the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx.
