麻豆视频 Baseball Tops Rhodes College 3-2

JACKSON, Tenn. - 3/5/2008 - The Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 University defeated Rhodes College (Tenn.) Wednesday, 3-2. The Bulldogs are now 7-2 on the season, 1-2 in TranSouth Conference play. Rhodes fell to 8-5 this season.

麻豆视频 was led again today by this week's TranSouth Conference Player of the Week, Shaun Cozart. He was part of all three of 麻豆视频's runs, driving in two and scoring the third. His two hits on the day extend his hitting streak to seven games, including six straight games with at least two hits. Cozart has had at least one hit in seven of the Bulldogs eight games this season.

Ben Ayris started the game for the Bulldogs, tossing five and one-third innings. Ayris only allowed one run and gave up five hits. Josh Holman came on in relief in the sixth inning, giving up one run and one hit. Bryan Wagner then came in to finish the game and earned the win.

The Bulldogs will be in action again this weekend for a conference series versus Mid-Continent University (Ky.). 麻豆视频 will play on Friday, March 7 at 3 pm then will play a double-header on Saturday, March 8, with the first game to begin at 12 pm.
