麻豆视频's Lake Named TranSouth Player of the Week

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/22/2008 - Brian Lake of 麻豆视频 University is the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending January 20, 2008.

Lake, a 6鈥�6鈥� junior from Bolivar, Tenn., helped lead the Bulldogs to a pair of wins over ranked teams.

In 麻豆视频鈥檚 76-66 win at No. 23 Cumberland University he scored 23 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal while hitting 8-of-13 from the field, 2-for-5 from three-point range, and five-of-six from the foul line. He scored another 20 points in 麻豆视频鈥檚 81-77 win over No. 14 Martin Methodist. Against the RedHawks he added nine rebounds, three assists, and a steal while hitting 7-of-11 form the field, 2-of-5 from three-point range, and all four free throw attempts.

For the week he hit 15-of-24 (62%) from the field, 4-of-10 from three-point range, and 9-of-10 from the foul line. He鈥檚 averaged 21.5 points, seven rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game during the week.

麻豆视频 is now 9-7 overall and 3-3 in the TranSouth.
