Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Baseball Signs Jackson State Standout

JACKSON, Tenn. - 1/16/2008 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University baseball program has signed to a scholarship for the 2008-09 season. Maristany will enter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ next fall as a junior and will complete his degree in Education.

Maristany, a 6-foot-1 205 lb. third baseman, transferred to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ from across town at Jackson State Community College where he played two seasons for Coach Steve Cornelison. As a freshman at JSCC, Maristany played third base and hit .439. In 41 games, he posted 39 runs, 61 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, four homeruns, and 34 RBI. Maristany also played four years of baseball at Flanagon High School in Florida.
