鈥淭his is a great honor and I鈥檓 very excited to have been a part of Scotts Hill basketball history,鈥 states Eason. 鈥淚t has been a privilege to be able to play for two great coaches in Coach Chandler and Coach Campbell during my basketball career. I鈥檝e enjoyed my time here at 麻豆视频, including being able to compete for national championships every year. Winning the national title as both a freshman and sophomore was an added bonus.鈥
Eason, 麻豆视频鈥檚 lone season on this year鈥檚 team, has sparked the Lady Bulldog to the No. 1 ranking in the NAIA with a perfect 11-0 record going into Saturday鈥檚 game at Bethel College (Tenn.). She has improved her scoring in each of the four years at 麻豆视频. As a freshman, she posted 5.9 points per game, followed by 8.3 as a sophomore, 10.6 as a junior, and now 12.3 as a senior. Her 85 made three pointers last season as a junior for 麻豆视频 led the team.
麻豆视频 head coach Mark Campbell says of Eason, "Crystal has been one of the most consistent players I have ever had in my nine years. She gives everything she has to be the best she can be whether on the court or in the classroom. Every year she has improved on her weaknesses and has left her mark on the Lady Bulldog basketball program. She has represented our program well on and off the floor."
Eason鈥檚 career at 麻豆视频 has seen numerous highlights. In her first three years at 麻豆视频, she helped lead the team to three straight NAIA National Tournament Fab Fours, including back-to-back National Titles in 2005 and 2006. Last season, 麻豆视频 won their ninth TranSouth Conference Regular Season Title and eighth Tournament Title in the league鈥檚 11-year history.
