麻豆视频 Men Post 111 Points in Win Over Missouri Baptist

LEBANON, Ill. - 11/16/2007 - The No. 19 麻豆视频 University Bulldogs exploded for 111 points in a 21-point win (111-90) over Missouri Baptist University in the opening game of the McKendree Classic in Lebanon, Ill. The win moved the Bulldogs to 2-1 on the season, while Missouri Baptist dropped to 2-1.

The Bulldogs shot well in the first half, scoring 52 points on 60-percent shooting from the field. They Bulldogs were perfect from the free-throw line, going 4-4, and shot 40-percent from the behind-the-arc in the first half.

The second half only saw improvement from the Bulldogs. Shooting 70-percent from the field, 麻豆视频 added 59 more points to their first half total to pull away for the win. 麻豆视频 posted 58-percent shooting from behind-the-arc, making 7-of-12 three-pointers in the second half. The 13 three-pointers made by 麻豆视频 in the game puts the Bulldogs at No. 1 in the NAIA with 12.5 made three pointers per game.

麻豆视频 was led in scoring by junior guard Matt Neaville with 31 points, including five 3-pointers. Neaville currently leads the NAIA in three pointers made per game (5.3) and is first in the nation with 28.7 points per game. Tony Brown put up 29 for the Bulldogs, while Brian Lake and Antoine Joseph added 17 and 10 points, respectively. Lake also recorded 11 rebounds, earning his first double-double of the season.

Missouri Baptist was led by Brandon Bishop with 23 points. Bret Wilson added 19, and Jake Hackerson put up 10.

The Bulldogs will face No. 23 McKendree University Saturday in night-cap game of the McKendree Classic at 7 pm. 麻豆视频 will return home for the 麻豆视频 Thanksgiving Classic. The Bulldogs play William Carey University (Miss.) on November 23 at 8 pm. 麻豆视频 plays again at 8 pm Saturday night, November 24, against McKendree University (Ill.).
