Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Volleyball Wins in Final Home Match of Season

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/5/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University volleyball team closed out their 2007 home schedule with a 3-0 (30-13, 30-19, 30-12) win over Mid-Continent University (Ky.). This game was originally scheduled to be play at Mid-Continent back but had to be rescheduled and moved to Jackson. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 21-8 overall and 11-6 in the TranSouth. Mid-Continent dropped to 2-20 on the season and 2-16 in league play.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Jackson native Amanda Hutchison Coyle, a former Trinity Christian standout, with 18 kills in just 21 attempts (.857 hitting percentage). Emilie Ogas added 13 kills while CJ Neathamer tallied 10 kills. Jennifer Martins led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 49 assists and 20 digs. Cassi Hobbs added 19 digs. Coyle led with three blocks.

Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be their final regular season match of the year as they travel to Crichton College (Tenn.) on Tuesday night, November 6. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will be then begin play as the No. 5 seed in the TranSouth Conference Tournament on November 9-10 in Batesville, Arkansas (Lyon College).
