麻豆视频 Cross Country Sweeps TranSouth and NAIA Region XI Titles

JACKSON, Tenn. - 11/3/2007 - The 麻豆视频 University men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 cross country teams won both the TranSouth and the NAIA Region XI Titles in their respective meets held in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday.

For the 麻豆视频 women, this marks the fifth straight TranSouth Conference Title and their second straight NAIA Region XI Title. The win gives the 麻豆视频 Lady Bulldogs an automatic bid to the NAIA National Meet on November 17, 2007 in Wisconsin.

The 麻豆视频 men continue to reach new heights with their program as this region title marks the first in their history. Just this past week, the 麻豆视频 Bulldogs kept climbing in the NAIA National Rankings to No. 18, their highest in team history. The TranSouth Title today for the 麻豆视频 men marked their fourth straight conference title. Like the women, the region title earns the Bulldogs an automatic bid to the NAIA National Meet.

In the women鈥檚 results, Sylvia Bundotich captured the TranSouth Individual title and finished second in the Region XI results. Lydia Bond finished third overall, Candace Cross finished ninth overall, Kayla Hauss placed 13th, Erika Schnatterly finished 15th, Charley Moss placed 19th, Ellen Bone placed 50th.

On the men鈥檚 side, 麻豆视频鈥檚 Henry Rop won both the TranSouth and NAIA Region XI Individual Titles. Douglas Martin finished second in both the TranSouth and Region XI results. Seth Covington placed sixth overall, Nelphat Boit finished ninth, Phillip Thompson placed 10th, Steve Bredfeldt finished 44th, and Josh Abbotoy placed 53rd.
