JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/8/2007 - The TranSouth Conference and NAIA Region XI has named Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University’s as the TranSouth Conference Player of the Week for the week ending October 7, 2007.
Zimmerman, a 5-foot-5 junior forward from Lebanon, Tenn., helped lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 week with a total of five goals. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s 5-1 win over Lambuth, she scored her second hat trick of the season with three goals. In the 5-3 win at Cumberland, Zimmerman had another two goals. Her point total on the week was 10. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is now 9-3 on the season and is tied for second in the TranSouth at 5-1. The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ women’s soccer team is on a program record six-match winning streak.
On the season, Zimmerman is leading Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with 16 goals, six assists, and 38 points. In Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s current six-match winning streak, Zimmerman has scored 11 of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 20 goals.
Up next for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will a road match in the conference at Crichton College (Tenn.) on Wednesday at 2:00 pm.
