JACKSON, Tenn. - 10/6/2007 - The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University women's soccer team won for the sixth straight time this season with a 5-3 win at Cumberland University (Tenn.). This six-game winning streak for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is the longest in the three year history of the program, breaking a five-game streak last season. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improved to 9-3 overall and 5-1 in the TranSouth. Cumberland dropped to 2-6 on the season and 2-4 in the league.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Caitlin Zimmerman continued her goal scoring streak with two more goals versus Cumberland. This is the fourth straight game in which she has tallied at least one goal. This also marks the fifth time on the season that Zimmerman has tallied at least two goals in a match.
Cara Pasley added another goal for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, with Cumberland helping the Lady Bulldogs with two own goals. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Cheslie Tharpe and Candice Blackard added one assist each. Laura Pla recorded six saves in the contest.
