Player NCCAA Goalkeeper of the Week
Jackson, TN —Jeff Lean, a sophomore from
Vancouver, Canada, was named NCCAA Goalkeeper of the Week. On the
week, Lean allowed just two goals in two games as he help Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in
two TranSouth Conference victories over Freed Hardeman University
and Lipscomb University, both by the score of 5-1. For the year,
Lean has only given up 7 goals in 11 games played and has 6
shutouts to his credit. Lean also holds Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ’s record for save
percentage currently at 85.7%.
On the season, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University is now 11-3
overall and 4-2 in the TranSouth Conference. The Bulldogs are on
the verge of clinching their first postseason in the conference
tournament with the chance to move on the NAIA Nationals. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ
will be home this weekend as the Bulldogs will host the Boise Cup
2000 beginning on Friday.
