Â鶹ÊÓƵ University Signs Paraguay National
Basketball Player
Jackson, Tenn. - Â鶹ÊÓƵ
University men's basketball coach Ralph Turner announced this
week the addition of Bruno Martinessi to the Bulldogs roster
for the 2001-2002 season. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound guard
averaged 18 points and nine rebounds per game in high school.
According to Turner, Â鶹ÊÓƵ's coaching staff was eager to
sign Martinessi because of his above average size and ability.
"We are very excited to sign a freshman with Bruno's
ability," said Turner. "His versatility allows him
to play anywhere from point guard to the post."
Martinessi joins Gibson County native Michael Palmer as
Â鶹ÊÓƵ's newest recruits for next season's Bulldog squad.
