Northside Baseball Star Signs with Â鶹ÊÓƵ
Jackson, TN—Brian Simpson of Northside High School signed
with Â鶹ÊÓƵ on Thursday. During the Indians 23-1 season, Simpson
went 7-0 with two saves and an ERA of 1.70. In 42+ innings
pitched, he tallied 64 strikeouts.
Head coach Andy Rushing states, "Brian has a good fastball
and an exceptional curveball. He has a great chance to be a
dominant pitcher for us." Simpson joins Matt Gibbs from
Hardin County as the two top pitchers Â鶹ÊÓƵ has signed for the
2002 season.
