Hardin County Pitcher signs with Â鶹ÊÓƵ
University
Jackson, TN—Matt Gibbs of Hardin County agreed to play his
college baseball at Â鶹ÊÓƵ University. Gibbs, 6-3 190-lbs.
right-hander, put up impressive stats on his travel squad last
summer. Gibbs was a member of the Savannah Flames where he was 9-4
with a 2.25 ERA. In 90 innings pitched, Gibbs recorded 89
strikeouts while walking 29.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s assistant coach, Brent Fronabarger says "Matt is
a great young man and a great student. He has three quality
pitches and will pitch a lot as a freshman. Matt will be a great
addition to the Bulldog program."
