Jackson, TN—Monica Elliott, of Memphis Ridgeway High School,
signed a basketball scholarship with Â鶹ÊÓƵ University. Elliott, a
5-6 guard, is averaging 14 points per game, 4 rebounds per game, a
6 steals per game. She has led Memphis Ridgeway to a 12-5 record
and a label as one of the best AA teams in the state.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s head coach Mark Campbell adds, "Monica is a
great athlete who can shoot and handle the ball. We are excited
about her being at Â鶹ÊÓƵ because she excels in the classroom and
on the basketball court. She is the kind of player and person
every team needs."
Â鶹ÊÓƵ is currently 12-3 on the season and will open up
TranSouth Conference play at home tonight (Thursday) night at 5 PM
against Berry College.
