Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Gentle played four seasons of golf at Tallassee High School in Alabama. During his career he posted one region title, a region runner-up and qualified for two state tournaments. Gentle was named MVP four times, All-County four times, All Region, and All-State during his career. Off the course, Gentle was the Salutatorian of his class, a member of the National Honor Society, and Choir President.
