Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s Clay Mallard, a former Milan High School standout and senior for this year’s golf team, was the medalist for the event. Mallard posted two rounds of 68 to claim first place.
In addition to Mallard’s 68-68, Brett Barry shot 68-75, Ryan Chandler shot 73-72, Ben Waits shot 72-75 and Mill Hamaguchi shot 74-74 to round out Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµâ€™s team.
Cumberland shot a two-day total of 568 to win first place. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was second with a score of 570, while Martin Methodist shot a 589.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ golf completes their fall schedule and will now look to the spring season with the goal of winning a conference title and advancing to the NAIA National Tournament. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ last won the TranSouth Tournament in the spring of 2008. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has won 10 conference golf titles, include TranSouth and Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conferences.
One important event remains this fall for the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ golf team as they are co-hosting a with the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ baseball team on Oct. 31.
