The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Volleyball team remained a perfect 7-0 for the season as the earned two victories in the opening day of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Invitational. The Lady Bulldogs topped Lambuth University (Tenn.) 30-13, 30-14, 30-10 in the first game and then defeated Cumberland College (Ky.) in the nightcap 30-18, 30-21, 30-23. In other action during the day, Brescia University def. Lambuth and Cumberland.
In the win over Lambuth, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by Gladys Wandera with 13 kills. Purity Ogolla and Nicole Garber led with 10 assists each and Wandera added nine service aces. The Lady Bulldogs were paced by Wadera with 12 kills, Phylis Anyango added 10, and Lindsay Stahlberg tallied nine kills.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play on Saturday at 11 a.m. versus Brescia University and then will play in the championship game at 3 p.m., also against Brescia. Lambuth and Cumberland (Ky.) will battle at 9 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. in the third place game.
