Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Falls in Overtime Thriller

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University soccer team came from behind to force overtime with the visiting Martin Methodist RedHawks. Howver, Martin Methodist scored six minutes into overtime to secure the 3-2 OT win over Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ fell to 8-4-1 overall and 1-3 in the TranSouth. Martin Methodist improved to 4-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

The game was scoreless at the half, but after just 10 minutes of play in the second half, Martin Methodist had taken a 2-0 lead on goals by Richard Askey and Ricardo Subero. That score remained until the 83rd minuted when Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ roared back with two goals in two minutes. Duncan Nicol scored first for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ on a Kekec Zivkovic assist and just over a minute later, Alexandre Pereira tied the game. Clovis Simas recorded the assist. Regulation ended with the score 2-2. Then, six minutes into the extra period, Martin Methodist's Adam Hall won the game for the Redhawks.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ goalie, Brian Hamilton recorded three saves for the Bulldogs, while his counterpart, Erik Marek for Martin Methodist also tallied three saves. Martin Methodist out-shot Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 11-10 in the game.
