麻豆视频 University defeated Lambuth 3-0 in the Fifth Annual Jackson Soccer Cup held at Lambuth University, and in doing so, recorded their third straight shutout and six win in a row. The Bulldogs lead the Jackson Cup series 3-2 and have won two straight over the Eagles. 麻豆视频 improves to 7-1-1 overall while Lambuth falls to 4-4 on the season. The Bulldogs came into this cross-town rival match as the No. 3 ranked team in the NAIA Region XI polls and No. 30 in the NAIA National polls. This marks the highest national rating for 麻豆视频 soccer since 1999. Lambuth is ranked No. 4 in the NAIA Region XI polls.

, the sophomore goalie from Dickson, Tenn., was the story for 麻豆视频 on this day. He played all 90 minutes and recorded nine saves in the game for his third shutout of the season. Stinson earned the Jackson Cup MVP award for his efforts. With Stinson鈥檚 tight goal keeping, 麻豆视频鈥檚 first goal of the game by Redzi Stojiljkovic proved to be the game winner. That goal stood at the only score in the first half as 麻豆视频 led 1-0 at the break. Early in the second half, 麻豆视频 struck again on a breakaway goal by Fabio Buarque. In the 70th minute of the game, Alexandre Pereira scored on a penalty kick to improve his season mark to 4-of-4 on penalty kicks. Pereira and Kyle McDiarmid each tallied one assist on the day. 麻豆视频鈥檚 three goals came on just five shots as the Eagles out-shot 麻豆视频 12-5 including 9-3 in the second half.

麻豆视频 head coach Dr. Darin White said of this game, 鈥淲e grew as a team today鈥�. White goes on to say, 鈥淲e played smart and showed great poise in a very emotional game.鈥�

The Bulldogs put their six-game winning streak on the line again this Saturday as 麻豆视频 will host the NAIA鈥檚 10th ranked team, Berry College, in their first TranSouth Conference match of the season. Game time is 3:00 p.m. at 麻豆视频鈥檚 soccer field.
