Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Claims Bulldog Classic Co-Championship

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University Bulldogs earned the Bulldog Classic Co-Championship with their two wins this weekend. The Bulldogs shutout Campbellsville University (Ky.) 4-0 on Saturday. On Friday, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ topped Asbury College (Ky.) 5-0. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improves to 6-1-1 on the year. Bryan College (Tenn.) also went 2-0 in the classic to earn their co-champion title.

For the second weekend in a row, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ has claimed a tournament championship. Also for the second week in a row, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Redzi Stojiljkovic has been voted by the opposing coaches as the Tournament MVP. Stojiljkovic recorded two assists in both games and also played an outstanding two games as a defender. Also making the All-Tournament team from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ were Fabio Buarque, Alexandre Pereira, and Duncan Nicol.

In Saturday's 4-0 win over Campbellsville, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was led by four different players with goals. Pablo Paredes, Jared Myracle (South Side HS), Alexandre Pereira, and Marko Pavlovic each tallied a score. Stojiljkovic recorded two assists and Myracle added one assists. Brian Hamilton played all 90 minutes as the goalie as he record two saves on two shots. This was Hamilton's third shutout of the season.

In the Friday's 5-0 win over Asbury, Pereira recorded a hat trick with three goals scored. Duncan Nicol and Humberto Sanchez added a goal apiece. Nicol added three assists, Stojiljkovic had two assists, and Jared Myracle tallied one assists. Robert Stinson of Dickson, Tenn. played all 90 minutes as the goalie and recorded two saves for his second shutout of the season.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ will play again on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at crosstown rival, Lambuth University for the Jackson Cup.
