The Bulldogs of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ University recorded a 3-2 win at Bethel College on Tuesday to improve their record to 4-1-1 overall.
Bethel struck first with a goal in the first minute of play. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ then added two goals to take a 2-1 lead. In the 30th minute, Alexandre Pereira scored on a penalty kick to tie the game. Pereira then assisted Kekec Zivkovic Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's second goal of the game in the 40th minute. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 2-1 at halftime.
In the second half, Pablo Paredes scored in the 65th minute on what ended up being the game winning goal. Zivkovic and Gareth Munro recorded the double assist. Bethel added their second and final goal in the last minute of the game to make the final 3-2 in favor of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ posted eight shots in the game with Bethel firing nine shots. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ goalie, Robert Stinson tallied four saves in the game.
The Bulldogs play again this weekend at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as they will host the Bulldog Classic. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ plays Asbury College on Friday at 5 p.m. and then will play Campbellsville on Saturday at 2 p.m.
