Lambuth University used six unearned runs to top Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ 11-9 in game one of Monday night's double-header. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ bounced back with a 12-3 victory in the night cap led by four former Jackson standouts. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is now 21-12 on the year while Lambuth moves to 15-14. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ leads the season series 2-1 over Lambuth.

In game one, Lambuth scored five runs off of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's Nash Powell in the top of the second inning and one more in the top of the third. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ rallied for four runs in the bottom of the third to cut the lead to 6-4. Lambuth again jumped out with four runs in the top of the fourth with the help of two Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ errors. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ never recovered as a their late rally fell two runs short at 11-9.

Powell lasted just 2.2 innings for the Bulldogs allowing 6 runs (4 earned) on five hits, three walks, and two strikeouts. Powell falls to 2-4 on the season. Jeff Ketchum of Lambuth earned the win moving his record to 3-3 on the year. Justin McMahan recorded the save for Lambuth with his his perfect top of the seventh inning to hold the Bullogs at nine runs. Lambuth's Luke Van Winkle led the Eagles by going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one homerun. Seth Champion also homered for the Ealges. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was paced by freshman Garrett Pepper with a 3-for-4 day and three RBI. Roger Cook and Chip Briggs each tallied two hits. Cook drove in two runs with his seventh homer of the season.

Game two belonged to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ as the Bulldogs scored in each of the first three innings to take a 5-0 lead. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 6-0 in the top of the sixth inning when Lambuth scored three runs to cut Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's lead to 6-3. However, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ exploded for six runs (3 earned) in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game away for good.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ freshman, Garrett Pepper (3-1) eaned the win as he pitched 5.2 innings allowing just three runs (2 earned) on five hits while striking out five batters. Mike Marsden took the loss for Lamubth. Three Jackson locals hit homeruns for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ in the game. Roger Cook (USJ), Joel Hysmith (JCS), and Josh Allen (USJ) each went deep for the Bulldogs. Allen led Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ with three hits, two RBI, and two runs scored. JCS standout, Chris Fowler added two hits, two RBI, and two runs scored in his two at bats. Lambuth was led by Brad Williams with two hits.
