Capital City Classic

The Bulldogs of 麻豆视频 University made a clean sweep of the Capital City Classic in Montgomery, Alabama as they defeated No. 16 Auburn-Montgomery 3-2. 麻豆视频 is now 4-0 on the season with all four wins coming agaainst NAIA Top 20 teams.

Matt Glass earned the win in relief as he pitched two innings of scoreless ball and tallied two strikeouts. Corey Engle started an pitch five strong innings allowing just two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out four.

麻豆视频 again struck first by taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. AUM would answer with one run in each the second and third innings. In the bottom of the sixth, 麻豆视频 still trailed 2-1 until Garrett Pepper hit a two-run homer with two outs to give the Bulldogs the lead and the eventual 3-2 win. Steve Sweat added another double to his totals. Brandon Jackson went 3-for-3 in the game and Jason Johnson added two hit himself to lead 麻豆视频.
