The 20th ranked Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Bulldogs picked up after having a 17-day layoff due to snowouts and rainouts over the past two weekends that cost them five games. Today, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ defeated Lindsey Wilson 9-1 to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Roger Cook's two RBI single in the fourth broke open a 1-1 tie and gave Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ a 5-1 lead at the end of four innings. Jed Thomas added a 2 RBI double in the bottom of the sixth to add to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ lead. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ scored nine runs (three earned) on 11 hits and committed just one error. Lindsey Wilson scored one run on seven hits and committed two errors.
Roger Cook went 2-4 with two RBI, Josh Allen 3-4 with three RBI, Jed Thomas 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI, and Garrett Pepper 2-3.
Engle recorded his first win of the season with 6.0 innings pitched, seven hits, one run, and three strikeouts. Nash Powell and Ryan Mayhew combined to pitch a perfect top of the seventh. Josh Conner (0-1) got the loss.
