Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ Falls at Home to Freed-Hardeman 84-69

No. 12 Freed-Hardeman remained at the top of the TranSouth Conference with their 84-69 win over Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ falls to 11-11 overall and 1-6 in the TranSouth, while Freed-Hardeman improves to 19-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play.

The Lions jumped out early on the Bulldogs and never trailed in the game. Freed-Hardeman shot an amazing 73% (16-22) from the field in the first half and took a 44-28 lead at halftime. The second half was more of the same as the Lions made shots all afternoon on Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's top ranked defense in the league. Freed-Hardeman shot 65% from the field in the game and 42% (5-12) from behind the arc. In the second half, Free-Hardeman led by as many as 22 points. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shot 42% from the field and 40% (10-25) from behind the arc.

Leading the charge for Freed-Hardeman was four players with double figures. Jamie Norsworthy ledwith a game-high 19 points. Wes Miller scored 17, Nathan Aaron added 15, and Tomas Oresansky tallied 12. Oresanskey seven rebounds led the Lions. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ was also led with four players in double-figures as senior guard Michael Katrosh poured in 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting from behind the arc. Derrick Underwood and Chima Abakuwe added 11 points each and Bruno Martinessi tallied 10.

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ plays next Monday at Trevecca Nazarene in Nashville, Tenn. Gametime is 8:00 p.m.
