Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ dropped their second straight conference game as Lee University defeated the Bulldogs 77-69. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ falls to 9-7 overall and 0-2 in the conference. Lee improves to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in the TranSouth.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ boasted four players in double figures but it wasn't enough on this day to get the win. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led by as many as 13 in the second half (36-23) and like the previous two losses, the Bulldogs couldn't hold on. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ led 29-21 at the half. Both teams up the pace and scoring in the second half with Lee scoring 56 points to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ's 40. Lee's Armard Ross and Rocky Lane both tallied double-doubles. Ross led all score with 19 points to go with his 10 boards. Lane scored 14 points and grabbed a game high 11 rebounds. Brandon Fritz and Ander Pinedo added 11 and 10 points respectively. For Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, Derrick Underwood and Matt Trammell scored 13 apiece while Michael Katrosh and Will Harris added 10 points each.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ travels to Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Monday for a non-conference game. Next Thursday, January 23, the Bulldogs will resume conference play when they host Trevecca at 8:00 p.m.
