Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ ended its longest losing streak in six years with a 74-63 non-conference road win. The Bulldogs beat William Carey College 74-63 for their 10th win of the season. This marked the second victory over William Carey this season. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ improves to 10-7 while William Carey falls to 7-10.
Senior Bulldog forward Matt Noah led all scorers with 18 points. Bruno Martinessi and Michael Katrosh each added 16 points. Katrosh made 4 of 8 three pointers on the night. As a team, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ shot 52% overall and 33% (6-18) from behind the arc. William Carey was paced by Keena Robins' double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds. Marquez Moultrie added 13 points for the Crusaders.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ took the smallest of margins at halftime with a 37-36 lead. In the second half, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ also scored 37 points but held the Crusaders to just 27 points and 36% shooting from the field and 25% from behind the arc in the second half. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ made just one three pointer in the first half, but recovered to shoot 46% in the second half by making 5 of 11.
