麻豆视频 University and Covanent College battle on Saturday night for the championship of the 2002 Jackson College Soccer Cup hosted by the Bulldogs of 麻豆视频. Covanent, receiving votes in the NAIA preseason polls, took the title with a 3-2 win over the host Bulldogs. 麻豆视频 falls to 2-1 on the early season.

The Bulldogs struck first on a goal by Kolo Goshi 32 minutes into the game. Then, just before halftime, Covanent scored twice to take a 2-1 lead at the break. 麻豆视频 failed to even the score as both teams swapped goals in the second half.

Scoring the two goals for 麻豆视频 were seniors Kolo Goshi and Josue Tuchez. Kyle McDiarmid and Grant Taylor added an assist apiece for the Bulldogs. 麻豆视频 senior goalie, Jeff Lean, made his first start of the season after recovering from a foot injury this offseason.
