Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Steirwalt prepped at Potomac Senior High School where he played four seasons of baseball. He was a member of the 2004 District Champions at Potomac. Steirwalt also excelled off the diamond as he was a member of the German Honor Society and the Honor Code Committee. He was also a Presidential Academic Scholar and an Eagle Scout.
