Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Garrett prepped at ECS in Memphis where he played baseball and football. He helped win a football state championship in 2000 and a baseball region championship in 2001. Garrett helped his team finish second in the state in both 2000 and 2001. In his last three high school seasons, he was named all-region, all-state, and was an all-state pitcher as a senior.
