Coach’s Comments. Zach is fully healthy. He is our most complete player. Zach is an excellent defensive catcher and outfielder. Offensively, he drives in runs. Zach is a clutch player that leads our team.
Â鶹ÊÓƵ Career. 2004...hit .366 with 49 hits, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns, and 29 RBI...made just three errors in 134 chances as a catcher and back-up right fielder. 2005...hit .223 with one homerun and 12 RBI after missing the first half of the season with an injury...threw out 10-of-30 base runners from behind the plate.
Before Â鶹ÊÓƵ: Zach prepped at Munford HS where he helped lead the team to district, region, and sub-state championships in 2002 and 2003. His team finished runner-up in state in 2003. Zach was named All-Metro, MVP, All-District Tournament Team, All-State Tournament Team, and All-Region during high school.
